It is indeed a privilege for me to extend to you on behalf of the new executive committee of Bandhan’84 BUET our heartiest greetings and to wish you and your family a happy Annual Reunion 2023. It is also a very happy moment for us to deliver to you our first edition of the membership directory — our deep appreciation for the hard work of the publication committee. A website for our group is expected to be launched very soon.
Almost 30 years after our graduation, Bandhan'84 BUET started its journey as a batch alumni association. Special credit goes to Engr. Quayyum for his excellent organizing skills in bringing us together. Let us appreciate and thank the past committee led by Prof. DR. Md. Maksud Helali (ex-president) and Engr. Miah Muhammad Quayyum (ex-general secretary) for successfully organizing various activities of Bandhan'84.
Thanks to all members for your support for the new executive committee formed in October 2023. Thanks and gratitude to EC members for their enthusiastic support, hard work and generous donations which made it possible to organize our reunion within short time. Any mistakes or omissions on our part, we humbly ask to be forgiven.
This event has been planned with a variety of activities including games/sports, reminiscence, cultural program, raffle draw besides AGM. I feel deeply honoured that legendary guitarist Enamul Kabir Sir, who in his eighties, has kindly agreed to perform in our cultural program. We earnestly request all members to actively participate in the AGM and give suggestions for our future activities. Thanks to members for your active participation, wish you a fun-filled festive day.
Already in our sixties in the later stages of our lives, let us wish one another good health, happiness and active life. Finally, let us pause for a moment in remembrance and pray for our friends who have already left us.
